Art Club has started!

October 01, 2018

Students who love art come to draw and spend time together on Thursdays in my classroom. It is an uplifting time for them. They usually bring their own projects and sketchbooks so they can make things that excite them. It is good to have a place with a little less structure and more freedom than the classroom. This is a drawing that one of my students drew of herself and all the other Art Club kids!

Winter Art Show- SCMS

Working at South County Middle School

September 03, 2018

I've started my job at South County Middle School teaching Art Foundations and Art Extensions. I'm truly enjoying working with 12 and 13 year olds. They surprise me and make me laugh every day. I am also impressed with the depth of thought and strength of the artwork that they create. I think the best part so far is building relationships with students. I see them every other day which makes it easier to get to know them as individuals.
